Introduction:
The purpose of creation has been the focus of all human thought processes and is one of the basic philosophical questions since time immemorial.
The natural product of human intelligence after seeing signs of creation is to deduce that the design bespeaks the presence of a designer. It also becomes incumbent upon humans to know the purpose for their existence and of this life and to do what is ultimately required by the Creator.
However, a small number of people have always existed who attribute the creation of this intricate universe and complex life form to mere chance.
Those that ask the question; that why God created man, the answer is embedded in the signs, the oceans and the rivers, the vast infinite space, the sand and the stars. However, due to the limitations of human thought one cannot fathom or comprehend entirely the purpose of creation.
Humans cannot possibly produce the whole truth in this regard. How can human beings intellectually deduce the existence when they can hardly understand the full faculty of their brain or how the mind functions? This is why the Divine Scriptures serve the purpose of answering those questions which humans cannot figure out on intellect alone. They need the Divine Guidance, and to carry the divine message forward Prophets were sent to explain the purpose of creation.

Nonetheless, the Judeo-Christian Scriptures lack consistency and leave the honest seeker of truth in darkness. They also do not answer the vital questions concerning humanity’s creation. The style is predominantly symbolic and it doesn’t state things in clear terms. The Christian concept of God’s incarnation as a man who must suffer and die as the only solution to wipe away the sins of mankind puts forth a distorted concept of ‘supreme justice’. This culminates in the acceptance of Jesus Christ as ‘Lord God’ and his ‘divine sacrifice’ as the only path to salvation.

The non-Abrahamic religions adhere to a pantheistic view of God, i.e. everything is God or they are a polytheistic i.e. existence of many Gods or incarnations of God. They promote the supremacy of one cast over the other and teach asceticism also. These scriptures too, seem to be ambiguous about the purpose of creation.
God is not the author of confusion, nor does He wish difficulty for mankind. Consequently, when He revealed His final communication, He ensured that his message was preserved for all time. In that final scripture, the Qur’an, God revealed His purpose for creating mankind and, through His last Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) He clarified the purpose of creation.
